There have been two changes to the Walks programme:

• Richard has invited members of Sussex Young Walkers to join him and the Kent group on his walk Winnie-the-Pooh Circular on the 7th November.
• Tina has had to postpone the walk she was planning to lead on the 31st October. It will be rearranged for a later date. Please keep an eye on the website for more news.

Claire des Forges is doing the St.Cathrine’s hospice sponsored walk on Sunday, September 12th. It’s 13 miles from Balcombe.

The next walk is on the 8th August. It is an eight mile circular starting and ending at Petworth Park car park, which passes over gentle but very attractive countryside. The meeting time is 10:30 am, and the place is Petworth Park car park, which is just of the A283 north of Petworth. Note that parking costs £2 for the day. See here for more details.

It is an 8 mile walk, led by Steve. Meet 10:30 am at the top of Upper Kingston Drive, Kingston by Sea (near Shoreham by Sea), Grid Reference TQ 238 065. Parking is on the street. Bring a picnic for lunch.

Steve is running an extra walk just after Christmas, on Sunday 27th December. It is a 6 mile walk, starting from the NT car park, Ditchling Beacon, at 10:30 am.

The weather wasn’t ideal for this walk, but six hardy ramblers turned out and completed the course.

Claire is leading a walk next weekend for the Brighton Explorers Club that may be of interest.

It is on Sunday 15th November, starting at 10:30 am from Finche Field Car park (GR TQ 366 326, Explorer Map 135). It is 10 miles, with a pub or picnic stop for lunch. Full details can be found here.

This is an early call for members to submit walks for the next programme. Available dates are any Sunday from the 3rd January to 27th June, unless someone else gets there first! You can see the details required from the current programme. In particular, I required a name and number for the leader, and a starting point and time for the walk.
