Thank you James for our first walk of the year which pleasantly blew away the post-Christmas cobwebs. The weather remained fine and clear enough to see the lovely views, and we did all the hills before lunch!

Didn’t think i’d be wandering about the Sussex countryside with my arms bare in October, but here we were on a glorious Autumn day doing Steve’s walk, Stanmer woods. The sun shone and a pleasant breeze refreshingly cooled us as we meandered through delightful woods and across fields giving us stunning views across Brighton. We stopped off after 6 miles, for refreshments, at the Stanmer tearooms, before completing the 11 mile very enjoyable walk. But!!!! a word of warning reader, if Mr Kisko ever tells you it is down hill the rest of the way do not believe him, HE LIES!!!!!!. And if he ever suggests just doing “a little loop” run for the hills!!!!!
