We were blessed with good weather for our latest walk, which took in Wisborough Green and the surrounding countryside.
We passed first through the church yard of Wisborough Green’s venerable church, before heading south to meet up with the remains of the Wey and Arun canal. There has not been much restoration on this stretch of canal, with the exception of one of the bridges. We followed the canal east and then north, as it passed under the A272 at New Bridge. We crossed the canal at a bridge further to the north, and proceeded west to the Bat & Ball Pub in Newpound Common. We had lunch there in the garden as it was sunny and pleasantly warm. After lunch, we made our way back to Wisborough Green by a circular route.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the walk; if you would like to leave a comment, feel free to do so.
