  1. Hi there,

I’d be really interested in joining your group although I don’t have a massive amount of free time at the moment.

Is there a membership fee and would this be a yearly renewal?

I live in Eastbourne; do you often have meets in this area?

Do the walks tend to be quite strenuous or moderate? I’d really just like an idea of what kind of thing you do!

How many members are there and is the group made up of a mix of people/ages?

Also, do you organise any walking holidays at all? I’m thinking about doing something like this on a budget at the end of September; would anyone be interested or do you know of any links where I might find something similar?

    Thanks for your help!

    1. Hi Louisa,

You are welcome to come along for 2-3 walks, then decide whether you want to join. We then ask that your join the Ramblers (of which we are a part). See the Ramblers Website for more info. Membership is usually on an annual basis.

We have done a number of walks near the coast to the west of Eastbourne, and also inland near Lewes, as well as on the South Downs to the north of Brighton.

Our walks are normally about 8 to 9 miles.

The members of the walk are 20s to 40s, with most being in the 30s range.

We’ve not been involved in organising walk holidays in the past, but should anyone in the group be interested in doing this, we would be supportive.

      Best wishes.

  2. Hi James,

Thanks for your quick response. How often do you tend to post new walks as I see it’s just to the beginning of Sept at the moment? I will definitely join you as soon as I can!

    1. Hi Louisa,

We usually run a walk every fortnight. We try to post new walks at least a month beforehand to give people notice.

      Best wishes,
      James
