Latest Walk: 11th Anniversary Walk

The Sussex Young Walkers was set up in 2002, so this year was the group’s 11th anniversary. Today’s walk was intended not only to celebrate that, but also act as an open day for potential new members.

The walk was led by Steve. It started from and ended at Balcombe Station. Before setting off, he took the opportunity to tell the potential new members a little about the Ramblers and the group.

The walk took us over to Wakehurst Place (where we had a picnic) and back again. The weather was warm and sunny, but with a decent amount of breeze, so it was pleasant, especially as much of the walk was wooded.

Many thanks to Steve for running the walk, and hopefully it will convince some people to walk with us again.

If you were on the walk, and would like to leave a comment, feel free to do so.

  3. Thanks for leading Steve. Perfect weather for a not too demanding stroll in some beautiful countryside. Even had some cricket to watch at the end! See you again
