Latest Walk: Amberley Circular

Today saw the group go on an enjoyable walk over the Downs to the west of Amberley. Starting from the car park off B2139 between the A29 roundabout and Houghton, we proceed west along the Monarch’s Way. After crossing the A29, we heading onwards and upwards to a junction with the South Downs Way, which we followed back east. This crossed the A29 again, before heading down to Houghton Bridge. We had a pleasant lunch at the Riverside Tea Rooms, before making our way back to the start via Houghton.

Many thanks to everyone who came on the walk. If you did come, and wish to leave a comment, feel free to do so.

  1. Thanks for a lovely walk James. The brisk wind blew the cobwebs away, but was worth it for the views. Particularly impressed that you kept the rain away until the drive home!

  2. Thanks for the walk today. The views were lovely especially on the downs, also don’t think I’ve ever seen quite so many snowbells in one walk!
