Latest Walk: Autumn on Ashdown

The wonderful weather continues! Claire’s walk today, “Autumn on Ashdown”, took place in sunshine. As it was a longer walk by our usual standards at 11.5 miles, it represented a challenge for the 18 walkers that turned out for it. The walk itself passed through Ashdown Forest, culminating close to the end with a visit to the famous “Pooh Sticks” bridge. Lunch was at a gardening centre cafe, which seemed overwhelmed by the number of people (not just us) who had decided to turn up on account of the excellent weather.

Many thanks to Claire for leading the walk. If you went on the walk and want to leave a comment, feel free to do so. Mark Seeger has promised some more photos of the walk, which I shall put up when I have received them.
