Latest Walk: Balcombe Circular

The weather was excellent for today’s walk, a circular starting from and ending at Balcombe station. Some of the group arrived by train, others parked in the station car park, while one walker, who shall remain nameless, was too tight to pay the £1 charge and parked in the village instead!

The walk, ably led by Steve, took in the pleasant contryside to the west of Balcombe. For the most part it was dry underfoot, which was a relief after so many muddy walks. Rather than a pub stop, we had a picnic lunch, which was appropriate for the weather. There were a couple of steep climbs, but otherwise the route was flat.

Many thanks to Steve for leading the walk. If you attended and would like to leave a comment, feel free to do so.

  1. Thanks for the walk today Steve, the route was lovely and it was great to see some of the first bluebells of 2013.

  2. Thank you for a lovely walk in the Spring sunshine with some great views. Perfectly timed as well for those of us returning by train.

  3. Hi
Thanks for the walk Steve and all. Parking my car in the village was a great idea avoiding the parking charges and enabled a quick exit. !!!

See you on my Bluebell walk on the 19th.
