Latest Walk: Hilaire Belloc’s Shipley

Today the group enjoyed a pleasant walk starting from and end at Shipley, the home for many years of the famous writer Hilaire Belloc. The walk passed through the grounds of both the old (Norman) and new versions of Knepp Castle, before crossing the A24 to reach West Grinstead. It then proceeded south and west, crossing the A24 again, to reach Dial Post for lunch at the Crown Inn. The food and service at the crown was excellent. After lunch there was a short walk back north to Shipley.

Many thanks to everyone who came on the walk. If you did and feel like leaving a comment, please feel free to do so.
