One thought on “Latest Walk: Lewes Glynde Circular”

  1. Todays walk was a 7.5 mile walk starting and finishing at Lewes train station. The weather was a clear crisp winters day with temperatures first thing below freezing but gradually warming up throughout the morning. Initially we walked through Lewes town centre over a river, then ascended up a hill to Lewes golf club, then we took in panaromic views all around of ringmer, rodmell, caulfail, Saxon Down, Arlington reservoir, then we decended into Glynde passed the opera house and headed into the village for lunch at the Trevor Arms. The menu was quite small but they had some nice steaks and varous other food, the staff were very welcoming and took good care of us. Then we walked up to mount Caburn hill fort to take a look of the view over to Newhaven, then walked back to Lewes passed the golf club again, there were only 3 of us today. This proved to be an ideal walk for this time of year and we got back in plenty of day light.
