Latest Walk: Onslow Circular

Today’s walk was a circular from Wisborough Green to Loxwood and back again. The starting point was the village green, where a junior cricket match was in progress. The first half of the walk saw the group pass through some woods and fields (and alpacas!), before eventually walking down one of the restored sections of the Wey and Arun Canal to the Onslow Arms. We had an enjoyable lunch there before heading back. The bridleways we used on the return leg were churned up in places and there were also some sections where the vegetation had not been cut back recently. Eventually, we made it back to the start in Wisborough Green, opposite the Cricketers public house.

Many thanks to all who came on the walk. If you attended and would like to comment, feel free to do so.

  1. Great walk. The Narrow Boats going along the Canal was a nice surprise. Thanks again for leading James. Look forward to next walk.

  2. Another great walk thank you James. Nice to see the alpacas again and the canal. Worth doing this one once a year.

  3. Thank you James for leading a nice walk along the canal. Surprisingly muddy in places, but at least the weather stayed dry.
