Thanks once more to Mark Seeger for supplying some photos taken on our most recent walk.
The walk took us through the grounds of Firle Place. Here you can see the group approaching the entrance to the grounds of the house:
The walk through the grounds was a pleasant one.
We stopped for lunch at the Rose Cottage Inn in Alciston.
There is still an old fashioned red telephone box over the road from the pub. Steve tried out the phone, but it no longer seems to be working.
We were temporarily held up at one point by a herd of cows crossing the path.

We spotted this rather fine tower on the way. Can anyone identify it?
It was a warm day, and the group were not the only ones who were thirsty!
The walk took us back to the start via Firle Place again. Here the group can be seen exiting the grounds:
